Tahitian Pearls

Tahitian Pearls are one of the rarest type of saltwater pearls. These pearls are primarily cultivated around the islands of Tahiti (French Polynesia) and are available in shades of black with overtones of grey, bronze and dark green.

The pearls, like South Sea Pearls, are “bead nucleated”, which means that its nucleus is perfectly round, which provides the oyster with a sort of guide or template that allows the creation of perfectly round pearls. Apart from their characteristic shape, these pearls are distinguished by their fineness and their higher prices, due to the conditions required for its cultivation.

In Austral Stones we have a beautiful range of 18k Gold (both Yellow Gold and White Gold), diamonds and Tahitian Pearl Pendants.
